Alot of drum machines of the era can have multiple roms in them, and most have had their formats decoded so you can have custom samples. Ive seen Alesis hr16, korg dd1/dd5, kawai r50/r100, and the casio rz1 all with rom switches. R100 is my favourite pcm drum machine, with the casio rz1 a close second. Its the only one with built in sampling though, a whopping 2seconds if i remember correctly. Oh, and they all sound great circuit bent! Its nice to use machines that are a little more unusual, im pretty sick of the typical roland fodder. Check out this heavily modded rz1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sJVSdBfTbU&feature=youtube_gdata_player --- In CZsynth@yahoogroups.com, Peter Sedin <peterhksedin@...> wrote: > > I bought one when they firts came out.. my first drum machine, i was 13 i > think.. did some early techno tracks with it.
