Hey Dan. It behaves that way with all sounds. I got it in to a technician, who examined it and said that the sustain input jack was shorted. Also, someone did a custom mod to the sustain input circuit with an op amp chip and a capacitor. It was crudely taped onto the board, so clearly not a professional job. Any idea what someone was trying to accomplish? Is this a documented mod? The seller has told me that he bought it used from a music shop and had no idea it was modified. He also said it never worked without a sustain pedal hooked up to it. In the meantime, the tech was afraid to disconnect the mod out of fear of disabling the keyboard. He replaced the jack and tested it. He said it is functioning now...haven't picked it up to verify. My guess is that the sustain function does something non-standard. Thanks for any insights.
