Thanks for your comments. What's the "relais"? I like the idea of trying to possibly (if that's what you did) bypassing the amp section (?) & will consider trying to do that. I have a soldering iron & I guess could search (any clues?) for the beginning of the audio out path right before the internal amp..... As for the difference between a deluxe and a normal CZ3000, this one has wooden sides whereas the other few I've run into were pure plastic. Really a great sound w/ the CZ3000....
