Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series

With regard to the first error -I do not know specifically about the VZ - but Yamaha use 'channel' sometimes within the SYSx message to determine one among many of the same type of module within a dumping scheme.
That is if their were two FB01's running on the same MIDI channel for the purposes of left and right stereo sound production (or alternate key assignment) then they can have different SYSx numbers when dumping.
The dump channel number then needs to match in order for the desired module to be the one that gets the dump,since there is no 'midi channel' number on the dump command itself.
It is therefore possible to be sending a dump to a module and it not respond because it is not on the correct 'dump channel' - I do not know if it applies to VZ - but it seemed like this might result in the message given.
This means checking whether the VZ has a 'dump channel' within the SYSx message and whether it is the same as the transmitted code.

The second error sounds like the 'speed/pause' one since nominally sysx data is sent as 'nybbles' (values below 16).If for any reason data speed causes some mismatching of  bits and data ends up >16 then there'd be an obvious data error.

    The first error message does indeed sound like the data was being sent too fast; so, slowing it down or inserting pauses between groups of data should help solve that one.

As for the second error message, maybe this will help, though you seem to have third type of error message (Load Error: Check Message), so I am not sure. I couldn't find the "previous message about channel and data type matching." Maybe I had the error listed there.   Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series
