Please forgive my late reply. I was not clear above. What I meant is that I'm coming from a background of only ever playing VST and/or soft synth plugins in my computer using a midi controller keyboard. I do play an Arturia monosynth but have never played a polyphonic synth until the VZ-1. The CPU overload has to do with all the modulation and voices in the plugins and nothing to do with the VZ-1.

I wanted the VZ-1 so I could play larger chords without any problems. It does this exceptionally well for me and. I'm checking to make sure I was in normal mode right now. It is working great as midi controller, but I really want to program sound pad patches on it.
