Could it be a grounding issue? Try unplugging MIDI and audio cables on the CZ until the noise goes away, using your headphones to monitor the sound.

What does it take for the noise to go away?

Often it's something about the combination of MIDI + audio + computer + USB that causes problems. Audio and USB connected to a computer usually share ground.
