There are some real nice budget units out there. Even the Digitech Quad V2 can make a lot of difference, and the Boss VF-1 is even cooler. I do think it's underrated. I recently took the plunge and bought the TC Electronic Fireworx, but it's more like a synth than an effects unit, serious. cheers Maxim PS. Try the "Superchorus" preset on the Digitech unit. It really is super. Like a wall of sound.
