CZ sysex files

2003-10-02 by thegrey1947

Hi everyone!

I'm a recent owner of a CZ-101 (and soon of a CZ-1000... and maybe
other CZ series model). I'm totally hooked to it. But that's not the
point.

My problem is the following: how do one export/import CZ sysex file
to/from the synth? A friend of mine gave me a bunch of sysex files he
found on the Net (thinking it would be helpful/fun to me)... but what
should I do to try them out on my CZ-101/1000???

Help needed!

Thank you very much.

Take a look here:

http://www.synthzone.com/casio.htm

I think one of the editors there might do the trick.

Thanks Scott!

I downloaded a few and give them a try.

If I understand correctly the procedure, I must install one of those
software in order to send them via MIDI to the CZ-101/1000 right?

Sorry for being such a newbie... but I'm more used to program my own
sounds than importing someone else's.

Thank you

Yes you need to install an editor / librarian program. I forget which
one will handle raw sysex data. I think Sounddiver can. Anyone else have
any other suggestions?

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
