At least on synthesizer sounds it's hard to please me, but when it comes to
sampled acoustic instruments, I don't have a choice... other then that I
prefere to programm the sounds myself... anayway I probably would use
presets in case I have to do productions for video games, films or similar
productions... But as long as I see myself as my only audience I prefere the
use of own sounds...

So far, I still start making music after I programmed a library of sounds to
chose from...
Btw. I ran into another problem were the manual or you might be able to help
me...
The VZ-1 has a quite strange behaviour when it comes to the oscillator
waveforms. It's easy to understand as long as I work with 2 Oszillators.
Since when I set those to phase and change the operator waveform of the
modulator I'm changing the waveform of the carrier instead. Another thing
is, when set to phase, even when the modulator is muted, it's still
modulating the carrier (with a value of 50, compared to the DX7 modulator
volume). So with complex operator links it's hard to tell the operator
waveform. I found out that in most cases the waveform of the first an the
last one a row are swapped, but don't know about the other operators. Is
there anything about this in the manual that could shed ligth on that
behaviour?
