Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series

Hi all,

Recently a friend of mine has given me a CZ-1. It haven't been 
running (I suppose) from years. He told me that some keys doesn't 
work.

I've checking it and have found that all piano keys work but the 
cursor ones. They do nothing. By other hand the four first banks 
doesn't give any answer when I press the key. Because the cursor keys 
does not work I can't innitialize the memory. Yesterday I opened the 
synth, I were unplugging and pluggin some wires and checking they 
correct transmission. Also, I check the correct working of these dead 
keys at their bottom with a tester and worked fine. Any ideas ?

Where is the battery ? I openned the synth from the top, removing the 
4 screws (and some from the conectors side) and haven't seen it.

Please, help rebirth it.

Finally I've found the baterry: lots of screws have been removed.

It is 3v and tester marks 2.93. Anyway, I will replace it.

Any idea for the dead cursor keys ?

Have you tried to click those buttons several times, what might make them 
functional again. I had a similar problem with my CZ-1, it shows that symptom 
when I'm not using those buttons for some time but it vanished after some hours 
soundprogramming...
