MIDIOX and the VZ(loadding patches)

MIDIOX and the VZ(loadding patches)

2005-09-15 by yazzofever

I've tried to do everything that the archives told me to do on this
list but I keep having problems with MIDIOX and the VZ.

Everytime I try to load in patches it says "LOAD ERROR-CHECK SYSTEM"

I have everything set I think in menu 2 and 3 including exclusive
enabled, channels matching, etc...

is there a function in MIDIOX that i need to configure

There's a way to reduce the MIDI-OX send speed, please don't ask me how, since in
most cases Sounddiver works fine for me...

The two VZ error messages I exploted are in a post from January 2005:

http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/CZsynth/message/2289

These were from attempts to load VZ data into the VZ-8m. I am not
sure if the LOAD ERROR-CHECK SYSTEM message is totally different
from the two I suggested fixes for or a variation.

Hope this helps.

I had (I think) a similar problem once, I fixed it by increasing the output
buffer size, or something like that.

i always had problems between midiox and the vz too. i tried different
settings in midiox but that didn“t worked for me... now i use vzdump &
the vz-editor on atari most of the time. also there is "sounddiver" or
"midi quest" as libarian and editor...

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
