Howdy, the group!

So: I bought a CZ-1000 about six years ago when I broke my foot badly,
and was laid up for a while. I don't play, but I was determined to
teach myself. That kind of ebbed as I recovered, and also as I ran up
against my limitations as far as self-teaching goes.

Now I'm taking guitar lessons, but with an emphasis on theory. I've
broken my old CZ out and fired it back up and am enjoying sort of
translating theory that I'm picking up from the guitar lessons to the
keyboard.

I'm also a gadget guy and love to fiddle around with tech, so of
course I love to fart around with making groovy sounds with the synth,
regardless of the fact that I can't really play anything with them (yet!).

I know when I used the CZ years ago I had a software tool that allowed
me to do all the parameter tweaking right on my computer; I could also
download patches and install them right to the synth through midi.

What's the currently favored tool for doing this now? I can't recall
what I was using then, and am not sure I could get it working if I
did...anyone have any recommendations for software, and how to get it
configured and working?

Thanks!
Sean
