Hi, I am sort of new here. I own a casio CZ 101 and I would like to find ways of programming my CZ 101. IT is a great synth. How do I turn the write protection button off so i can edit sounds/patches and edit other features such as sending patches to my CZ from usb? thank you -James-

The write protection switch is on the back, between the cartridge slot and the MIDI jacks. synergeezer --- In CZsynth@yahoogroups.com, "freedomcall82" <freedomcall82@...> wrote:

thank you all very much I needed to know that. If anyone has any good SID Chip music style patches for the CZ 101 Let me know. I am into synthesizer music and recording in my home studio. that is my daily hobby. I have a ton of CZ sounds/patches ive found googling them. I also have a good patch editor too but it was made by a programmer who said it might have bugs. if you guys need anything feel free to email me. also, I am glad to have found this group. peace

Hello, James.
I own a CZ-1, and if I well remember there should be a voice among the parameters editing pages, if not just a button on the panel to turn it on\off, that allows You storing patches. I am not home at this moment, so I can't check. But I am nearly sure of this....Let me know if it is the same as on my synth, and if You reached the goal.
Cheers,
Francesco.

thank you manuca. hope you guys can help me. is it worth it to get the CZ fixed because i think its broken.

Have you pressed the "P button" (see page 3 of the Operation Manual)? If not, you may have to give it a firm push. I use a small Phillips screwdriver. synergeezer --- In CZsynth@yahoogroups.com, James W <freedomcall82@...> wrote: > > yes I have everything working with my patches but i just found out recently that my initilize button doesnt work at all. i am in a pickle with that. does that mean its broken? it doesnt work and doesnt show anything on the screen when i press that and the envelope buttons too do the same thing. > thank you manuca. hope you guys can help me. is it worth it to get the CZ fixed because i think its broken. > -James- > it was like this when i got it from a friend as a gift, recently. > > "F.Manduca" <resistenzaaoltranza@...> wrote: > Hello, James. > I own a CZ-1, and if I well remember there should be a voice among the parameters editing pages, if not just a button on the panel to turn it on\off, that allows You storing patches.
