CZ-101 replacement LCD

2009-01-27 by Nick Dan

Does anyone know if I'm wanting to replace the LCD on a CZ-101.. say with a backlit one
what type of interface is used to communicate with it? serial, parallel, is there a standard?
sorry haven't opened it up yet..

If it is like the display used in the CZ5000 and CZ-1 it is a parallel
display. I think it's 8 bit. It should have a 14 pin connector industry
standard pinout...

Is there an industry standard pinout for LCDs? I'm building a Midibox Sid (
http://www.ucapps.de) and had to be careful to match the LCD pins correctly.
I know of quite a few others that have blown out thier LCDs because the
pinout on thier LCD did not match the pinout of the person's who created the
schematics. Just a word to the wise, that's an expensive mistake.
