CZ 1000 power supply

CZ 1000 power supply

2009-09-24 by nowhereandover

Hi everyone CZ lovers :)

I finally have got a CZ-1000, but it came without the original power supply. As the owner's manual states the original one was a CASIO AD-5 with 9V /and ??? amperes/

Just a silly question: may I use to the CZ-1000 the actually available new CASIO AD5G model, with 9V and 850mA? Are the amperes okay? Is the polarity of the connector okay?

Many thanx and all the best to the CZ community!

I am currently using an adaptor with a 500ma rating -the manufacturer tends to say "use only our power supply" because off the shelf ones are noisy or low amperage.
The casio keyboards are negative center polarity - I have also noted that that there is some variation in the size of the centre part of the socket, leading to some adaptors not actually fitting the socket.
If you have a casio power supply rated at over 500mA then it ought to work, and is probably better than an off the shelf one.
