Casio CZ-1000 Memory cartridge

2010-07-15 by Alan

Hi All,

I Have a Casio CZ-1000 with a Memory Cartridge.

I have saved sounds to the cartridge but when I
turn the Casio off the turn it back on I loose
the sounds, Any ideas on what is going on?

I suspect a dead battery in the cartridge. Open that bad boy up, they're
easy enough to replace.

I am familiar with the EZ-CZ catridge which uses a battery. Does your cartidge use a battery and if so, dose it have power?

Thanks All,

I opened it up and replaced two AAA batteries

Still doesn't work,

I had a CZ (either 3000 or 5000) with some bent pins where the cartridge goes in, so the cartidge wouldn't work. I'd check that. Also, can you try it on another CZ to determine if its the cartridge or your CZ that's the problem? (Or get another cartidge to test?)

I suppose if there are circuit builders here, someone else might be able to help with some circuit testing, but that's beyond my experience.

Good luck; let us know what happens.
