Hello,
This is procedure I usualy do with my VZ-1 and Midi Quest.
Before all of this, check hardware MIDI switcher on your VZ-1 (near MIDI
interface) and set it to ON!
1. Pres MENU 3 button and with YES button go to MENU 3/ 01 (MEMORY PROTECT)
and set OFF for both Internal and Card memory protectio (press Menu 3
button, then with Cursor and Yes/No buttons select and change from ON to
OFF)
3. Pres MENU 3 button and with YES button go to MENU 3/ 03 page (MIDI
send/receive) and put ch 01 on both send/receive options
4. Pres MENU 3 button and again, and with YES got to MENU 3/04 page (MIDI
DATA). Press again MENU 3 button and with CURSOR buttons go to EXCLUSIVE
option and select ENA (change this with NO/YES buttons)
5. Pres MENU 3 button and with YES button go to MENU 3/ 02 (SAVE/LOAD page)
and go to Load/Save option, if you want to receive MidiDump set LOAD (for
transmit MidiDump set SAVE). CARD/MIDI option set to MIDI. Setting DATA
option depends on MIDI sysex information you want to send to VZ-1. There
are 3 options: VOICE - Normal Voice, OPERATION MEMORY or both
Voice+Operation. If you not sure what kind of Data Dump you send to VZ-1
try all of them, one by one.
6. On the same page (MENU 3/ 02) go to EXECUTE and press YES, then start
transmitting MIDI Sysex data to VZ-1. You must do that manualy.
Here is my VZ-1 Preset Demo on YT, I collect them with Midi Quest
