Re: [CZsynth] Casio CZ-101 with backlit

Any tips on how to go about this?

My FZ1 is without backlight and RZ1 also - CZ1000/101 - is it easy or expensive?

I am dubious about going into the innards in case I damage something - not too bothered about the 1000 though??

then fz1 only a new backlight efoil for that as its a special display as the controlers are not on the lcd panel

the rz1 use an oled display as they are as thin as the original ones and require no backlight power

same for the cz1000/101 and any other screen with no backlight like dx7 and others

Thought I replied to this, obviously not.

The MC202 uses a totally different display to the CZ1000 etc. which uses
a fairly standard HD44780-type dot matrix display.

However, the MC202 display is pretty similar to the LCD on my Yaesu
FT290 which is lit from the side. Originally a "grain of wheat" bulb
was used but now I use a 3mm LED since the bulb had blown. If you look
around for details of how to do the LED backlight mod to the FT290 you
may be able to adapt this to the MC202.

hi Gordon, could have missed any previous.
thought this could be both useful and funky
if easy to do (as in, also, multiple pattern
memories, etc etc)
