CZ-101 LCD screen

CZ-101 LCD screen

2002-03-31 by triazolam_productions

Hello there,
I've had a CZ-101 for about a half a year. Two months ago the
LCD screen stopped working. I was wondering if anyone else
has had this happen. It really is quite annoying due to the fact
that ALL of the programming is done through this little screen. If
anyone has had this happen, what have they done to fix it, if
anything... Does anyone have a good editing program for Mac
computers? All the links that I have found seem to be dead...

Thanks!

My CZ-1000 LCD is still going strong after 15 years. If no one else comes up
with a quick and easy fix I know of at least one reputable repair shop that
does work on Casio music gear, let me know if you need their address.

Just had another thought, have you tried to do a hard reset of the CZ by
pressing in the P button while powering up? This seems to fix 99% of CZ foul
ups, might work here. You'll need something long and pointy to get to the P
button to press it while you power up (WARNING this will erase any user
sounds you might have programmed in there).

This probably will work, even if the body is cracked and the motherboard
fried, --- just press "P" while powering up, et voilia, you have a brand
new, sparkling CZ. Not many people know this trick.
