This thing really cuts through the mix real good.

This thing really cuts through the mix real good.

Using my new cubase I was trying to audition good trumpet sounds using my halion sonic se. But not when I started using the VZ trumpet that darn thing sure cuts through the mix real good. If i'm not satisfied with certain sounds my VZ-1 or10M sure comes very handy. I may decide to work on new sounds for the future later on. Maybe just a handful of new effects patches that I think I had been missing. Only for the VZ.

love my vz8m - i've tured it inside out with caged artist vz version;
not as infinite as one might think but does loads - what is the
main difference between vz8m and vz10m?

the old roland d-110 does nice brass stabs(don't know much about brass)
(i've realised an empty jv1080 isn't that much different from a D-110 structurally
-apart from the fx of course)
it's all down to the raw unpolished sound these things have.

I just received + unpacked my first VZ (have had a CZ1 for years). Tomorrow I'll throw it in the rack and hook it up. My first point of order once it's all connected is to go through your sounds - I imagine that will give me a very good idea of what this baby's capable of ... and I'm very excited. ;)

Cheers,
James

alienated techno bass (toi toi), crystalline tines and bells,
twiddly stuff with the LFOs, 'warm pads', - i originally sold it
and kept a tx81z but that toitoi is classic.(levi's ad, in black+white,
set in 30s, about? er, 15-18 yrs ago lol )
