Hi Charly,
in the 80s I often used the FZ-1 of a friend, so I think I know that
sampler a little...
pro
8 Loops per sample
The same sample can used with different start and end parameters
8 Level/ 8 Times envelopes
Big graphic display (for an 80s sampler)
8 additional single outs (fine for drum sounds) ...
contra
only 8 voices
only 2MB RAM
you can't expect it to be fast in DSP Functions...
If I'm not mistaken the single outputs where mono
pro or contra (it depends on what you like)
transposing samples creates "lots of" aliasing
filter sounds "different"... (I liked the sound)
to look for
Display get dark so you might have to replace it. Some might have
output problems, since relays get broken...
I hope this helps a bit!
