I even went and ordered a replacement relay many months ago but never got up the nerve to subject my CZ-1 to my amateurish soldering skills. Here's a video that helped me somewhat: it at least shows how to open a CZ-1 up and how to clean a relay. I had complete success in under a half hour with some Deoxit and some small pieces of paper as applicators/scrubbing tools. If your chorus slider is noisy and the audio distorts or cuts out on channels you may need to clean your relay. I had thought that my AD converter needed calibrating in addition to replacing or cleaning the relay which it still might but after fixing the relay the audio path is so much cleaner that I don't hear the nasty transients that I thought were coming from the AD converter. This problem seems to be very common with the CZ line. I checked my CZ 5000 after fixing the CZ-1 but it has no relay troubles at all. Now I need to find some cool patches after 25 years or so of the same old stuff.
