Replacements screws for CZ synth memory cartridges?

Replacements screws for CZ synth memory cartridges?

2015-01-03 by dlonrattam@...

Greeting CZoids,

Has anybody ever sourced replacement screws for any of the CZ synth memory cartridges?

Somehow, the screws can be incredibly tightly installed (presumably when originally manufactured) and the heads easily stripped when attempting to open the cartridge for battery replacement. It would be great to replace damaged screws with new ones.

The CZ memory cartridge types I know of are the RA-3, RA-5, or RA-6. Aside from capacity, these are all physically identical and presumably use the same screws.

Thanks,
- Matt

I have not. But a little local hardware store is my source for various screws and bolts. Take one of the old screws and they will try to match it. good luck!

Hardware stores won't be able to help.

The screws are about 4mm long, and a pitch of about 1.5mm. They're smaller than a typical grain of rice, and, yes, they have heads that just grate like butter.

I would take the stripped screws to a local RC/Hobby Shop and see if they have something that matches. I bet that if they don't they can tell you who will.
