EZ-CZ & CZ-101 Problem?

Hi, all! My head exploded when a guy recently told me to change the battery in my EZ-CZ memory cartridge that wasn't storing patches after I powered down. So, now my EZ-CZ stores patches but, when I WRITE to CARTRIDGE 1, it stores in CARTRIDGE 1 & 2! Same with 3&4, 5&6, 7&8, and other Banks. Any idea why? While this mostly means that I only get half of the number of patches. What's worse is the inconvenience of having to ignore half the buttons and having to press the SELECT button to get to the next four. Please let me know. Thanks! Sacha P.S.
