cz1 feature question

cz1 feature question

2016-09-07 by Brendan Cooney

Hello all. I am planning on buying a CZ1 to add to my CZ collection. I have been trying to acquaint myself with the features of the CZ1.

Can anyone tell me: In key split mode can I have the right hand play in solo mode while the LH is polyphonic, or does is solo mode not assignable to one hand? I have read that I can assign pedal, pitch and mod wheel to either hand in key split mode but I have not read yet what happens if you hit "solo" while in key split mode.

Thanks, in advance, for any answers!

Brendan

Good question.

I own a CZ-1 but never tried that.

Let me see what happens...

Yes, according to the OM it's independent - see page 45.

It is better explained in OM for CZ3000:

So just move cursor to the part you want to have in SOLO mode and press Solo button.

Hi Brendan

I just tested this and yes, either side can have solo independently set to ON or OFF.

If you have the CZ1 manual, this is described on pages 43 and onward.

Good luck with your CZ1 search. If space is not a problem, the CZ1 really is the one to get. The velocity and aftertouch make the synth so incredibly dynamic!!

Thanks. That was helpful. I had read the manual but was not clear on that point.
