change center octave of CZ-1?

change center octave of CZ-1?

2002-06-20 by jawalsh_sink

Hi all,

I'm using my CZ-1 as a controller for other modules and sequencer.
Is it possible to change the center octave of the keyboard so I can
transmit notes outside the default range? Thanks very much.

No..I don't think that you can so that without the help of an external
device to alter the note range. You can usually do this through a sequencer
if you're using one of those. The CZ-1 has some serious drawbacks as a
controller unfortunately and that's one of them...

There are inexpensive MIDI patchbays that will do it for you.
I think Digital Music MX-8 has this function, along with more
fancy stuff, such filtering, zoning, and MIDI delays. They
can be had for $50-75 these days if you look hard. I have
three of these, and use them to route all my modules MIDI
out streams back to the computer for editing.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
