Sick CZ-1 Repair

2002-06-26 by chicago_egm

I read an earlier post by someone with a sick CZ-1. I have the same
problem. I hadn't played the CZ in years (my bad) and when I went to
try him out again (now that his sounds are cool again) there is a
bunch of fuzz coming out. The sound fades in and out with fuzz and
crackle. I would like to repair this myself. After all... I can't
imagine paying shipping for that fat synth just for repairs! Someone
mentioned working on the amp board? Can I do this myself?

Thanks!

Eric

i have the same problem every time it wasn't switched on for a week
or so. with mine it' s just a question of warm up. i select a sawtooth
sound hit several (hiss, crackle...) and hold it for a minute. then it
gets better. after ten minutes or so, everything is perfectly all right
again...

hop to have helped, hellmuth
