hi Jammie and thanks for the quick answer, but I cannot get it to work, when in mix or cross mix function, if either of the two ingredients are preset wave or additive wave (the other being a sample I created from sampling function), all I get when I hit "execute" is "voice No error". So please can you explain what I'm doing wrong?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
