hi Jammie and thanks for the quick answer, but I cannot get it to work, when in mix or cross mix function, if either of the two ingredients are preset wave or additive wave (the other being a sample I created from sampling function), all I get when I hit "execute" is "voice No error". So please can you explain what I'm doing wrong?

you need to make the additive wave into a
sample for it to work
it wont work with just the synth engine as there is
no sample to minipulate
you have to turn the additive wave into a sample
first once it is mapped then save as a sample instrument
then reload that sample instrument and cross mix
with the other sample
