Hehe, I think you misunderstood me. I mean, does the filter step (quantize, stepping noise) when being modulated from a manual source, like foot controller or mod wheel. The answer is that it only steps slightly when a manual source like a mod wheel is adjusted very slowly. It's a lot better than most synths, that's for sure. --- In DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com, "Collin <collin_meyer@y...>" <collin_meyer@y...> wrote: > The evolver has routable destinations for: > > Foot Controller > Breath Controller > Pressure > Mod Wheel > Velocity > Env fol (think this has to do with the audio in) > In Peak Amnt (also for audio in) > > --- In DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com, "thligrdd <onthesurface@c...>" > <onthesurface@c...> wrote: > > --- In DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com, JOSHUA HOLLEY <TARTARBOY@r...> > > wrote: > > > i just recieved my evolver wednesday...i feel i should > > > send dave flowers...i havent been this excited about a > > > piece of gear in quite some time...i'm very happy with > > > the sound quality and diversity if the module. i > > > thought i would hate the compact box but its really > > > cool. the thing is rock solid though..... > > > one thing that bothers me are the "clicking" knobs, > > > they're great for selecting patches etc, but it makes > > > filter sweeps AWFUL. may i suggest the knobs that have > > > a pull feature...if its down it clicks but smooth when > > > pulled out. i know it seems petty, but i think it > > > would make it much better. > > > > Actually, dave has implemented a smoothing algorithm for the filter > > cutoff and some other functions, the filter shouldn't really step, > it > > just feels like it does because the knobs don't move smoothly, they > > jump.
