Sequencers that are both sequencers and sound
modules should be able to ignore start, stop and continue messages but still see
clock and on offs and other controllers.
This is something that irritated me too. But I
didn't realize that there was no easy answer. I should be simple enough to add
another choice in the midi parameter and I will definately ask dave to add this
to the future O.S. wish list.

master, and the slaves play along in time!
I guess you might be able to setup some master clock disable in your
sequencer, but I'm not sure how necessary it is. I normally just mute stuff
at the desk when I don't want to hear it.

In MIDI triggering mode it needs MIDI notes to make a noise anyway. Whether
the sequencer runs with the master or not is irrelevant...
