re editors - Has anybody considered hounding the SoundQuest folks?

2005-09-07 by bcomnes

I spent some time on the phone with SoundQuest a few months back
about another synth that I have and the head of Sales there made it
real clear that they usually add to MIDI-Quests list of supported
products pretty much from buzz and noise....it seems to me that this
group is quite capable of generating such buzz and noise.

The core MIDI-Quest interface is already built and they "merely" have
to map the Evolver sysex and MIDI strings to their interface. I use
it for my other older stuff and I think the product represents a good
value given its long list of supported synths

The sales guy said the code development was pretty much a one person
operation and he worked on whatever seemed to be a good bet in adding
to their base....I'm guessing that there a lot of "active" Evolver
users as compared to say a Yamaha TX-81Z

What intrigues me about MIDI-Quest is that it supports all that other
old stuff I have, but for the Evolver I have to use yet another piece
of software else...I can't be the only person in this boat.

Here's the contact info for Soundquest, if you feel so inclined
