when I have to be quiet around others with the evolver but wanna be loud for me, I use a small battery powered headphone amp check out www.electric-avenues.com or see his stuff as eBay seller grans-ar.....I normally don't like to pimp products, but I have these and use them with the EVO a lot These are definitely a good unit, very small (half the size of an ipod) and will last 5-7 hours on a single battery recharge...definitely worth the $60 I paid for 'em
