Yes, that's what the Nord leads[*] all do too; in my mind it's clearly the "best" solution, but it also requires a lot more patch memory, so it's obviously not going to happen on the Evolver. Still, it's perfectly fine to just put a warning in the manual "if you write from combo mode, be careful not to overwrite patches you care about" and leave it up to the user to deal with this "issue". A technical change that might help reduce any potential problems -- and also applies to normal patch mode too! -- is to _show the name of the patch slots_ in the save "dialog". [Even though you can use the "compare" button to listen to potential save-slots in the save-dialogue, I find it's not nearly as useful as simply seeing the name.] [*] Hint to synth makers: If you want to do things right, just copy the Nord lead 3's UI ideas!
