Yes, Graemes comparison between trance/electro sounds was quite 
accurate. I am considering the mono Evolver, with it you're of course 
more limited than with Poly. But it still has 4 oscillators and the 
digital ones aren't limited to standard waveforms. To answer Jims 
questions, I'm willing to program a sound as long as it takes to get 
it where I want it ;) If you would be kind enough to make a demo for 
me (others can participate too!), to get a better idea of trance 
sounds in general you could listen to this soundset for Waldorf 
MicroQ, made by Manuel Schleis:

I'm especially interested in plucked kind of sounds (which I believe 
the analog filter can do nicely).
