Actually, what seems to be happening is that if I load a patch from
the library it will play at the edit buffer tempo and note division. 
This doesn't happen if I load the patch into the synth.  This seems
like a bug, should I email soundtower?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
