  Perhaps one of your settings is the Keyboard Amount in the filter section - if this is part 
of your patch, then the filters will open wider the higher the key pressed, but *not* for 
triggered notes from the sequencer, as there are no actual 'keys' being pressed. There is 
no 'osc follow' for the filter, and since the sequencer is changing oscillator pitches rather 
than pressing keys, the filter cutoff remains at a constant frequency rather than adjusting 
itself. One thing you can try to be certain that this is what's causing it is to play some 
notes from the keyboard while your sequence is playing - those notes should sound like 
what you wanted the sequence to sound like, but the sequence will still sound dark. I hope
