RE: [Evolver] PEK volume lower from midi than useing keyboard

2006-07-05 by Andrew Capon

Hi Stefan,

That's a very good point, unfortunately the PEK has gone back to the
shop so I cannot try it now. I am waiting for a replacement that should
be with me on Friday, if that is the same I will know I have been a
fool!

I think it is not the case though as I first noticed the problem when
playing the PEK from my Nord G2 and via midi guitar from an AXON ax100.
This was without cubase running. I noticed that even sending a full 127
velocity message from the guitar or G2 that the PEK was very quite, if I
played a hard note on the PEK keyboard it was loud, this is what got me
testing with Cubase just to see if I was imagining it!

Cheers

Andy

Andrew, one last vague possibility that I can think of:

How did you record both midi and audio in Cubase at a time when
playing with the keyboard in local on mode ?

If I try to reproduce this, I always get a midi loop, means that the
midi track that I activate to record incoming data is automatically
set to midi through as well.

Maybe you can check if during your "direct" recording of the PEK's
audio out maybe 2 voices were triggered at a time.
