nope.  if you want a sampling / sequencing workstation then buy an
mpc.  if you want a hybrid analogue / digital drum machien then wait
for the boomchik.

whats the point of dave & roger spending loads of time & effort
reinventing the mpc, which roger actually invented all those years ago!?

history : the linn9000 and sequential circuits studio400 started the
ball rolling then when linn went under he moved to akai and helped
them develop the mpc60 and asq10 stand-alone sequencer (best hardware
sequencer ever made).  the mkII version followed, along with the
mpc3000 at which point roger linn & akai parted ways.
