You know what, i did not try to use the ES-1 as master when pattern are chained. Since the pattern changes happen at the end of a program when they're chained, it should change Evo's patterns on the beat. I will try this and let you know. This i could live with for the time being ;) on 27/01/03 9:25 PM, Ravi Ivan Sharma at noision1@... wrote: Well a brute force workaround is to use a sequencer that sends program change patches to the evolver at the exact start of a new bar (and have evolver set to LockSeq. ----- Original Message ----- From: simon leclerc <mailto:bontrip@...> To: DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com Sent: Monday, January 27, 2003 9:11 PM Subject: Re: [Evolver] Evolver = bad for Live use ? I also requested this feature to Dave a few weeks ago. I thought someone might have a workaround, i guess not. I just don't see the point of having a sequencer with 372 possible patterns if you can't jump from one pattern to another, spacially when the designer is Mr Dave Smith himself. And now my last hope for a workaround (korg Es-1 as master) has failed. You know i can live with the fact that it can't control other Midi devices, but i can't live with this limitation. This is bad man. on 27/01/03 9:00 PM, Ravi Sharma at noision1@... wrote: This is the subject of one of my requests to Dave in a new O.S. mainly a pattern select mode that incorporates a rule that the switch will happen upon the end of the currenty playing sequence and then move and continue without losing a beat, true groovebox style. Let's hope it happens. No idea though.
