Dave Smith Instruments SYNTHESIZERS

The Evolvers do not receive or transmit sequencer start/stop messages
through MIDI. But there's workaround: Evolvers have a mode that lets a
key press event trigger a single sequencer step, and another setting
that resets the sequencer to the first step whenever it detects an
external (computer) sequencer start event. I don't recall what or where
these settings are. The workaround is setup the Evolver with these two
settings and then transmit 8th notes from Logic into the MEK.

Greetings.  Hoping someone can give me a hand here.

 

First off let me fill you in on my set up.  DSI MEK running to iMac thru
Midisport.  Running Logic 9.1.1 on Snow Leopard 

 

What I am trying to accomplish:

 

Getting Logic to capture all the sequencing events from the MEK in MIDI.
I've already figured out how to synchronize so when I start logic, the
sequencer on the MEK starts.

Right now I am capturing it directly in Audio. 

 

Is this even possible.
