Evolver Sequencer Programing in Logic

Greetings. Hoping someone can give me a hand here.

First off let me fill you in on my set up. DSI MEK running to iMac thru Midisport. Running Logic 9.1.1 on Snow Leopard

What I am trying to accomplish:

Getting Logic to capture all the sequencing events from the MEK in MIDI. I've already figured out how to synchronize so when I start logic, the sequencer on the MEK starts.
Right now I am capturing it directly in Audio.

Is this even possible.

I appreciate any and all responses

The Evolvers do not receive or transmit sequencer start/stop messages
through MIDI. But there's workaround: Evolvers have a mode that lets a
key press event trigger a single sequencer step, and another setting
that resets the sequencer to the first step whenever it detects an
external (computer) sequencer start event. I don't recall what or where
these settings are. The workaround is setup the Evolver with these two
settings and then transmit 8th notes from Logic into the MEK.
