That would be the easiest method. You could also get a MIDI patchbay
(or splitter) which would allow you to split the MIDI coming from the
PC and send it to both the Evolver and the keyboard. But that's more
expensive and complicated. Just send the MIDI from your PC to the
controller; then when you plan on using the sync of the PC, set the
keyboard up to echo all incoming MIDI to it's out port (if it doesn't
already). Then you should be set.

It's up to you. That's really a matter of opinion; and depends on
whether you plan to continue playing the song, play it live, etc.
I personally prefer only recording something that I consider *done*
and want people to hear. But I prefer to "play" (i.e. sequence and
control) all parts at once, as I would do live.
