Definitive Guide To Evolver

Definitive Guide To Evolver

2005-10-11 by Anu Kirk

Well, it's done.

I just uploaded what is now called "The Definitive Guide To Evolver"
to the files area. It's over 100 pages, as a Word Document. I can do
a PDF if people prefer.

This isn't "final" - I expect there are a few things I got wrong or
some things I messed up. It belongs to the group now, so read it,
comment, change, whatever.

Enjoy and let me know what you think.

Special thanks to GregAE for his edits, comments, and feedback. Also
thanks to the various people who read it in less-finished stages and
encouraged me to keep going.

i work at analoguehaven just east of LA and we've sold a whole heap of
evolvers. once the 'work of art' (i mean 'the definitive guide') has been
totally finished i'd like, if possible, to host the pdf on our web site too
- with permission of course!! from my cursory look through this'd be a
great source of information evolver abusers, as well as people thinking
about buying an evolver too.

lemme know

Anu, Ski...

I just snagged my copy of the "Definitive Guide..."
PDF and wanted to say "thank you, thank you, thank
you!" Thanks to Anu for writing it and to Ski for the
PDF conversion.

What this manual amounts to is a "Dummies" guide to
the Evo. I'm a typical dumb guitar/bass player with
a 2.0 Desktop Evo. This new manual will help me use
the Evo to stretch the boundaries of surf rock music.
With the upcoming psicraft editor, I'll be able to
really wring the Evo's skinny little neck to
submission. :-)

Dear Anu,

Congratulations for completion of the book! I think it's excellent and
valuable reading to all Evolver owners, there's always something one
can learn. Thanks a lot for your effort (and all those who
contributed!).

Scott, that is a good idea. These yahoo groups are not very
user-friendly. How is the elektron site sponsored? I would opt for
drupal as the backbone on basis on good previous experience, but could
in any case assist you with the layout and looks (CSS and original
graphics) as well as with administration.

Cheers & sunny days,

.jon
