Hey there, I'm new to the group - I just unpacked my new evolver last
night (Uh, wow.) My first hardware and first analog synth. I love DSI
for making an affordable synth for the rest of us.
Anway, to answer your question, I plugged in my Novation ReMote25 and
I can't recommend this keyboard enough. Obviously, Novation have a
great reputation and the MIDI implementation is thorough to say the
least. But the thing that struck me last night while exploring the
evolver was the aftertouch/pressure. The keyboard action of the ReMote
is really nice, but when coupled with the aftertouch programming of a
lot of the sounds it just takes it to another level of playability.
Anyway, the ReMote25 have been discontinued in favor of the SL series,
so if you poke around a bit you might be able to find some older stock
for a very decent price. Or you could pony up for the SL series. But,
really, look at Novation.
