Hello, I have been building a lot of bass drum sounds on my MEK recently. What I have noticed is that my attacks are kinda slow, making the drums sound a bit soft. Is there a way that you guys have found to speed the attack from 0-100 of envelope 2? Thanks D

a trick i've used with other synths is to use the pitch envelope. set envelope 3 to control oscillator all frequency, then play with the attack, decay and depth parameters. may not work on the evolver series (i sold my desktop evo a while ago). pls let me know if this works, as i'm eager to make my own kits when I save enough to buy an MEK... --- In DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com, "nisusthemovement" <nisusthemovement@...> wrote:

I just got back into the Evolver myself, and I've been trying to figure this out too. On Carbon111's website, there is a programming tip from Mike Peake regarding this topic. Here is the quote: "Adding 'Punch' - Submitted by Mike Peake. Set the envelopes to linear, and use a Mod to modulate AmpEnv All by itself (lin through log responses with positive and negative self-modulation). This is of course fun on the filter envelopes as well." I haven't tried it out yet, but I'm a little confused by how it is worded. The part that seems missing is: what type of Mod do you send to the Amp Envelope? An LFO? That wouldn't quite make sense. I don't know. Anyone else tried this out? Here's a link to Carbon111's site: http://www.carbon111.com/evolver.html --- In DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com, "robotunes" <robotunes@...> wrote:

Amp Envelope isn't a destination, it's a source. The destinations are the individual A, D, and R. So maybe it means send Amp Envelope to amp Attack and Decay. But that would take two slots. I dunno. It is rather confusingly worded. I'll have to try that some time. Let us know your results when you get to tinkering. > > "Adding 'Punch' - Submitted by Mike Peake.
