MEK Encoder Problems
2009-12-18 by Iain Bryden
My unused MEK has been sitting in my home covered with cloth for over a month. Last night I turned it on and noticed that many of the encoders are not working properly. They worked fine the last time I played the thing. The OSC gain, filter frequency, resonance, are among the bad ones. Turning a knob would make the values jump around up and down around the initial value. Rather annoying. I'm guessing the encoders simply got dirty. What is the best way to remedy this problem? Thank you. -- Iain This electronic mail message contains information that (a) is or may be CONFIDENTIAL, PROPRIETARY IN NATURE, OR OTHERWISE PROTECTED BY LAW FROM DISCLOSURE, and (b) is intended only for the use of the addressee(s) named herein.
