As with a car, you'd never get as much in a trade as you would by 
selling. Yamaha doesn't have a trade-in program, but Guitar Center 
does. I'm willing to bet, however, that e-drums are still too small a 
niche in the market for GC to give much in trade, if anything. But it 
may be worth a try. By the way, the only upgrade from the DTXPII that 
makes any sense to me would be the IIISP. The standard III is too 
much like the II to justify the trouble, no?
