Yes, I would like the IIISP.  I suppose that I could sell the set 
myself through the local paper, and then buy the latest IIISP or 
better.  I have very little trouble with the II that I have, so 
maybe I should just hang on to them until I have enough for a SECOND 
SET!!!  I thought about making some homemade pads using the Remo 
practice pad concept, but I'm too busy playing the drums instead of 
making new ones.  

Not that these are perfect, because I've had some problems. I had a 
problem with the kicker (wear through), but I disassembled it and 
put a kevlar patch on both the front and back; good if not better 
than new.  The snare has some problems identifying between rim1 and 
rim2; always wants to play rim1.  I took it apart, but couldn't find 
anything wrong.  Maybe a min velocity problem or rejection?  I'm an 
electronics engineer, so I could start scoping around and tweaking 
myself, but I WANNA PLAY DRUMS, not electronics.
