Hello Steve- You are well on your way to create a REALLY BIG DRUM SET. I suggest everyone start at Drumbalaya- www.drumbalaya.com. They have lots of stuff and some of the best stuff they have is advice. I believe rack diameters have stayed the same, tho the rack for the DTXpress III is much better looking and sturdier than the one from the I.
